Jessica L. Anderson
I'm a Senior Conflict Advisor and recent IIE Fellow in Conflict, Fragility, and Peacebuilding at USAID. I'm also an Affiliated Scholar with Georgetown's Institute for the Study of International Migration. I'm trying my best to hop between academia and the aid world through policy-relevant research and evidence-based, creative practitioner work. I write and work on issues of aid, conflict, displacement, and international organizations. I hold a Ph.D. in political science from The George Washington University, as well as an M.A. in Forced Migration from the University of the Witwatersrand and a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University. In the past ten years I also founded a startup that supports post-conflict aid efforts, consulted for aid organizations, researched peace operations as a fellow at the Stimson Center, and coordinated conferences and events on the future of foreign aid at GWU. A complete list of my professional and research experience is listed in my CV. My work can be found in popular outlets including ForeignPolicy.com, the Washington Post's Monkey Cage, the OECD's Development Matters blog, and the Council on Foreign Relations online. |
