Policy Involvement
I'm a strong advocate for policy-relevant research and building up links between policymakers and academics. I currently work for USAID and received fellowships in the past to work at USAID, the State Department, and Stimson Center’s Future of Peace Operations program. I also spent a number of years abroad working for my own startup and consulting on projects with the International Organization for Migration, Oxfam, and the South African Human Rights Commission. At GWU I coordinated the Program on Humanitarian Governance and the Humanitarian Salon, a DC-area initiative between academics and practitioners. I also participated in the Bridging the Gap initiative, which brings academia and the foreign policy community together.
